On February 6, 2023, Atomwaffen Division (AWD) founder Brandon Russell and girlfriend Sarah Beth Clendaniel were arrested for a plot to blow up a Baltimore Maryland electrical substation. Russell and Clendaniel’s recent arrests have put renewed attention on the neo-nazi group, their activities in the region, and former members, namely Tyler R. Wiesing.
